Removal of the Tyrant

A vicious storm surrounds the victory, the world rejoices for the removal of the Tryant.

Well.. I suppose I should hand a shout out to Jonathan Sims, the creator of the Magnus Archives, for inadvertently handing me the interactions between these two, who had been named prior to listening to The Magnus Archives.
The brutal, and rather sudden removal of Ichorrift's former king and tyrannical ruler, Omen Blackwood. Once a powerful man, in charge of the entire city, as his father before. Omen was overthrown by a group of adventurers, who named themselves the Family of Storms, and the prince, Martin.

The Conflict

Prelude

Many generations of the Blackwood family have been in charge of Ichorrift, ruling over it for many many years. Once a flourishing city, Ichorrift was set to quickly spiral downwards in it's time under the Blackwood Family's rule, quickly shrinking in size as they were cut off from the rest of the world. Omen was the final straw in this, and he inadvertently caused his son to run away at the age of 20, hiding away on one of the very few airships that ever came to visit Ichorrift.

Deployment

Many years after the disappearance of the prince, he returned to Ichorrift with the yet unnamed Family of Storms, and rounded up a few more people to help the process. They argued and planned for days, all while trying to avoid the public's gaze, as there's nothing more incredible than seeing the long missing prince showing up on the docks, now married and in the company of a quintet of skilled adventurers.

Battlefield

Blackwood Manor, the home of Omen Blackwood and Martin. In the dead of the night, the heroes entered his home with the plan to ambush Omen. Unfortunately, he was prepared for this, and met the party with unbridled ferocity.

The Engagement

The battle was brief, in the grand scheme of things, lasting a few minutes. When all was said and done, the body of Omen Blackwood laid dead at his own son's feet, and the battle was won. With Omen gone, Martin took the throne, now with the intention of fixing all the wrongs done by his family.

Outcome

With Omen gone, his son Martin takes to the throne. He intends to fix everything his family has done to Ichorrift, starting with opening trade back up with the rest of the world.

Aftermath

When all is said and done, Ichorrift will eventually return to it's former glory, and possibly even become a new capitol city in the world of Comria.

Historical Significance

Legacy

Long after the rule of the Benevolent King, Ichorrift stands tall in the sky, stretching outwards over the crater, bustling with life and joy. In the center of it all, a statue was created in their honour. The Family of Storms, carrying Martin aloft, triumphant after the defeat of Blackwood the Tyrant.
After many lifetimes, the iron grip over Ichorrift has become a soft, gentle one. A new age has begun!
A lifetime away from home, hiding from responsibility has left Martin a kind soul. Along his journey, he met a group of adventurers, and their actions finally convinced him to return home, and face the reality he'd been running from his whole life.

Author's Notes

Martin and John were not intended to be so accidentally closely related to The Magnus Archives, Fantasynamegenerators handed me "Omen Blackwood" and things spiralled out of control from there.
