The Wandering Wood

The Wandering Woods are a magical phenomenon that exists as the domain of Aegis Evergreen, the Fae King of Change. Every night, the moon's light changes their location, where an existing forest becomes the Wandering Woods, and all who inhabit it may exit it in this new location. The outskirts of the Wandering Wood tend to be relatively safe, but unstable. But the deeper into the wood one gets, the more likely they are to encounter the Fae of Aegis.
Wizards have long tried to plot the movements of the forest, but few have come up with anything more than inconsistent guidelines, and so while a few have managed to locate the forest once, and even successfully used its behavior to travel to new locations, none have claimed the ability to find it and use it to move to an intended place.

Fauna & Flora

The outskirts change based on what forest has 'become' the Wandering Wood, but the deeper in you go, the more alien and abnormal the fauna look, ever changing and sporting a rainbow of colors, the innermost places in the forest are almost dreamlike, fitting a throne room of The Fae King

It's said that on a solar eclipse, the forest becomes impossible to escape, as all forests simultaneously become entrances, not exits, to the Wandering Wood
