Parvum Draconis

Present day there are no Dragons in Colossus. But there was a time they did rule the skies and mountains, the seas and oceans, the forests and caves.
During their time on Colossus they birthed hybrids, those of Colossus and the Prismatic Realm. Dragons with paired blood and spirit.
Known as Parvum Draconis, Small Dragons. Large and strong enough to overpower a adult Wyvern. Arcanely powerful enough to match a Archmage.
Some in Colossus feared them, as their numbers were many and the hunger for conquest was always present in the Dragons. The parvum draconis built homes in the lands of the world.
Those that didn't fear them offered parlay and harmony. In some places it was accepted and others it was met with blade and hatred.
To look upon their scales were the colours of beautiful metals. Shining scales of copper, brass, iron, bronze, silver, gold, and the very rare platinum.
The parvum draconis could only survive by feeding off the natural aura of the Greater Dragons. Those of the Uldryds Legion. This gave them a continuous glow mimicking the gems of the Greater.
Their other source of sustenance was the natural elements of Colossus, draining the life essence of forests, mountains and seas. This did not sit well with the native elementals of the world.
Parvum Draconis required both to have a strong and well fed life spirit.
When Uldryd sealed the Gateway, sentencing their Legion to death. The parvum draconis began to starve, cut off from the Dragon auras they leant into the elements.
As the greater took their last breaths, it left the parvum draconis easy prey for the hungry elemental powers of Colossus, and so they fed.
Those fortunate to escape the hungry elementals were harvested by arcane hunters seeking potent components, some powerful artefacts are kept as such due to the spirit of a Parvum Draconis.
