Curse of the Last Page
A brutal curse to anyone wanting to live life to its a fullest and move on to a better place once life expires.
Those that become inflicted with the Curse of the Last Page will never see that full life
For every day lived one loses a page on the length of their life, their epic myth becoming a short tale around a campfire as every day goes by.
When the inflicted makes it to the last page and their time is at an end, nothing happens. No death, no funeral, no beyond.
They are forgotten by all, left to wander the realms unknown, a faceless ghost among those they once called loved ones.
Del'brusa created the Curse and begun testing it on the village nearby. A Hag that was once a beautiful Archfey. It was originally cast upon them by the Starling Druids.
Del'brusa pulled it from themselves making it available to cast on others. All those cursed by the Hag were linked to their eternity
The world becomes a grey place when you stand upon your last page. Nothing in front of you and everything behind is a memory to no one but yourself.
However there was a Knight of Sovii who took it upon themselves to receive the Curse of the Last Page.
They needed the immortality it gave. The sacrifice given brought tears to the nation. None now know of it as the Knight remains on the last page of their story.
But immortality is a powerful tool to have as a protector and guardian. Facing the creatures that live beneath the lands of Sovii, fatal blows were constantly exchanged.
Pain can still be felt whilst the body heals and continues on. But no enemy nor ally can remember who they faced, and who they stood alongside.
