City of Doves

In the nation of Ravenholme the capital is called the City of Ravens. Simple for the people and something that historically relevant. King Rhindhart was of the Raven House.
However previously there was a city that sat bright and glorious as most capitals do. The City of Doves. Named after a Knight of the Last Forest who rode a Celestial Dove above the city watching over it and the land surrounding. 
Before taking the monarchy, Rhindhart gathered loyalty from the rest of the nation and when they sat the crown upon their head said nation became known as Ravenholme and the capital, the city of Ravens,
It wasn't just a renaming of a city. The previous capital was taken below ground. A ritual of substantial power was brought together to submerge it. 
This was needed after Rhindhart slayed the Knight of the Last Forest. The magic of this powerful protector fuelled the relocation of the City of Doves. 
The citizens of the city all left and took up living in the new capital, of Ravens. 
Below the City of Doves was empty, streets were silent, and the sound of people going about their day gone. 
King Rhindhart forbid that any citizen of Ravenholme to visit the lost capital. 
However, cities of ancient presence don't remain silent. From the depths of Colossus came a peoples that lived in permanent shadow and night. 
The stockier built were mistaken for dwarves and the more slender mistook for elves. But they were neither, a race that lived in the ethereal parts of the below. 
The divine aura of the City of Doves, reached out to them. Showed them the the resting place of the Knight of the Last Forest.
Coming together on mass they all stood before the temple. Darkness had been all they knew, but the warmth of the divine forest, and its homely camp fires. Gave them their first sight. 
It was then the entirety of the Orba swore oaths bound to their bloodlines that they would defend the tomb, and one day have the City of the Dove take its place among the Celestial Heavens.
Over time the Orba left the ethereal darkness and became residents of the city. No longer blind. They traded with people that lived on different planes or were simply a subterranean folk.
The City of Doves became populated again, the Orba developed into a incredible religious peoples and followers of the Last Forest.
