Caralindean Uldou aka Nobody Character in Colossus | World Anvil

Caralindean Uldou aka Nobody

Half elven, half earth spirit. Brought up on a farm after the farmer family found them washed up on a beach when they were a youngling.    Looked after and fed , Caralindean was a happy child. Learning the chores of farming and being told all about how they came to the family. Life was simple.    During the Kyanite War the farm was attacked, nothing personal just happened to be in the way of the conquering army of Dragonkin   All were killed, except for Caralindean. He clung to the shadows and hid when the soldiers turned up. Climbing among the rafters, hold his breath for as long as possible.    Once the soldiers had moved on, it was time to mourn. For a week or more they remained at the farm, burying their family and friends whom had worked alongside them.    Caralindean moved on, to the Grant-Uno-Mos mountains. Having a natural affinity with the stone made it easy when they didn't want any eyes on them. Merging with the rock when it meant being unseen.   The mountain villages were a good place to steal food to stay alive and then be hidden before anyone knew it. But it wasn't a life, there was no future in it.    Until Caralindean saw them, a performing troupe that had come from the south. The show they put on was all about decption and slight of hand, not out right magic, but skilled enough it would confuse the mind.    There and then they wanted those skills, so for the first time in months. The half elf approached another person. The Ringmaster was around five feet and she had excelled in the art of convincing a crowds she was a Archmagi.   Caralindean joined the troupe and learnt all the ways of their trickery and deceit. Staying away from the bulk of the performers , only conversing with the Ringmaster. She was kind to them and gave the space they needed.   Once at in the cities they learned to watch others as they stayed hidden against the rocky walls. Heard secrets being spoken, coins dropped and all manner of forgetfulness when folks thought no one was looking.    This skill became a very useful tool in making the Ringmaster very wealthy.
