Tania

This title is given to the leader of the Gaia Confederacy
It is not a hereditary title, though one clan holds the position, rather than a elected by the people. Those who are given the title are tested in leaderships, which is carried out throughout childhood and teenage, and can only be permitted to be permitted the title if they face the Gaia's Trial, which is a program that tests their metal in leading the Confederacy.

Qualifications

They must have passed the Clan leadership testing and must be at least twenty-four years of age to hold the position

Appointment

There is an oath swearing ceremony that is held at a particular time or at the Tania choosing but must happen within five years of accepting or becoming the Tania

Duties

They are to protect, guide and mediate the Plenum of the Confederacy In times of war, they can either lead the War Force or choose a more suitable person from ranks of their military

Responsibilities

They are to protect the people, defend their people and to adjudicate the Plenum and oversee the Olympiads

Benefits

They receive a stipend, they are respected by the people.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Failure to protect the confederacy from all threats both internal and external to the confederacy This must be proven by consensus of the Plenum and supported by Athena
