Thunderan
Thunderan is the denomination of people living in the Plains of Thunder on Ómar Crún.
Naming Traditions
Family names
- A mixture of human and halfling family names have melded together for most people in this culture
- More recently, human refugees from North of Två have boasted names similar to the conventions of Giants and their clans.

- Currently firmly set in medieval technology. Gunpowder is not widespread and magical technology is extremely primitive outside of the Giant's Elementium.
Common Etiquette rules
- Thunderans generally greet eachother with a firm fist bump, intended to test the strength of whoever you're dealing with.
- Speaking, or being anything other than silent during a duel is disrespectful

Most buildings and structures are made out of orange and light brown baked clay, dyed brightly with colorful flowers and their extracts.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals
- They believe that buildings that are more than one story tall are bad luck, and every building should have a deep basement.
- Marriage tradition consists of a Bloodscar Gem medallion being given to the one courted. The one who asked to be married, if their advance is accepted, is then intended to duel the mother or father of their beloved. This is rarely to the death, but legally it is intended to be from tradition.
- Racing mounts is an extremely popular practice and is considered honorable
Birth & Baptismal Rites
- Babies, as soon as they're strong enough to travel, are taken on a trek to Capitol's Temple of Jupiter. Here there is a pool of sacred waters from the Exousían sea, that priests believe is divine in the name of many God's, not just Jupiter.
Coming of Age Rites
- When young people turn 19 it is generally considered time to find and take a spouse. There is a festival of love on the 14th of Greenbloom that holds a tournament between any young men dueling over their potential wives, or women fighting over men who are undecided. Fighting for your love is considered very honorable and missing out on getting a spouse before your 20s is considered bad luck for the future of your life.
Funerary and Memorial customs
- Cemeteries with a headstone are common in The Plains of Thunder. Depending on your cause of death, you are either accepted and celebrated with great honor and laughter. If your death was dishonorable your funeral is silent and your grave will not be marked.

- Declining a duel is an extreme act of cowardice and will generally socially ostracize you
Common Myths and Legends
- Below the earth of The Plains of Thunder, a giant Lightning Lizard rests. This Lizard is what causes the many earthquakes in the Plains, and when the people stop properly honoring the God's the Lizard will rise from the ground and destroy Ómar Crún.

Beauty Ideals
Athleticism and strength are considered universally attractive. Covering all of your skin in the summer time is considered excessively prude.
Armor outside of battle is considered a sign of paranoia and weakness

Hold an idea of extreme equality given that most cultures in the Plains of Thunder have had several powerful female and male heroes and leaders.

- Almost every marriage in The Plains of Thunder since before Gal'Galed was sealed by a BloodScar Gem Medallion. Sold by Festus Gemshine of the Bloodscar Raiders, and his ancestors before him.
