Culture and cultural heritage
Culture is based off of a combination of their Chūmonese origins and their ties to Lolth.
Shared customary codes and values
- Females are always to be greeted properly and politely by men
- Religious figures are to always be shown reverence and courtesy
- Never speak ill of the queen of Spiders
- If someone violates the law, they are to be punished with the utmost malice
- If you're going to violate the law, don't get caught, this alone is shameful in the eyes of Lolth
Average technological level
Clans with access to steel, leather and other processed metals, but without any mechanics or major engineering.
Common Etiquette rules
Speaking in any instance is frowned upon unless you are a woman of privilege in society. Otherwise, it is considered disrespectful.
Common Dress code
Women tend to wear very little. The higher they rank in the Temple, the less they wear generally. Drow nobles will often go nude, unless they are in battle where they have their Samurai armor.

Japanese inspired architecture mixed with the jagged edges and black metals of the Abyss.
Foods & Cuisine
- Blue Biter Mushrooms- an edible mushrooms with low amounts of venom within that make it very spicy
Birth & Baptismal Rites
- When Drow men are born, they are bathed in their father's blood to show that their blood is worth nothing more than what they can provide to Lolth.
- Female Drow are baptized in the black basin of a Temple of Lolth, where a clan is chosen for them, normally the clan they're born into.
Coming of Age Rites
- The Hatchings- Every 25 years a drow man will be put into an arena with another man turning 25, and the winner gets to escape and continue their training. This goes on until they become adults at 100 years old. This cuts the number of drow in a generation in half, letting only the most vicious and violent.
Funerary and Memorial customs
- Drow men are fed to giant spiders when they die, this is intended to nourish Lolth with their sacrifice
- Drow Women are cremated and kept in tombs and crypts.
Common Taboos
- Reproducing outside of the Priesthood
- Men speaking out of turn
- Freeing slaves, whereas stealing slaves for yourself is considered virtuous.
Common Myths and Legends
- They believe that When Gal'Galed cursed the Drow, he Killed their Goddess Ateramasu. He then took the sun and used it as a weapon against them becoming the God of the Sun. They believe that Lolth was the daughter of Ateramasu, following her mother's goal of protecting their people.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Most ideals of beauty fall back into similar ideals as Chūmon. Lighter hair is considered a token of true beauty, with white hair being highly sought after. Scars, other modifications , and scarification are considered especially beautiful. You are immediately judged as weak if you have no visible scars from combat.
Gender Ideals
Women are superior to men in every way. Men are treated just better than slaves, rarely getting a say in how his life is lead past what his Mistress chooses for him.
Courtship Ideals
The only Drow who are legally allowed to engage in sexual relationships are Priestesses, who choose a man under their control and make him the token of their desires, this usually ends in the man dying after years of torture.
Relationship Ideals
Marriage is not a concept to the Drow. Men are simply objects to be taken and used by the female mistresses of the society.
