Episode 5: The Nature of the Enemy

General Summary

After a nasty run-in with a giant named Globog the Formiddable (and after killing one of his sons, either Slog or Log), you learned an interesting detail: he's not aligned with Loki, nor is necessarily the Giant king Bergelmir.
Globog agreed to help you slay the wendigo, who not too much earlier nearly killed Jaxon for good.
After some careful coordination and triangulation, you managed to narrow down the wendigo's location to a single clearing and were able to kill him after a harrowing fight. Before your eyes, it transformed back into the body of Waylon Reid.
You retrieved the book and tooth from its body and said farewell to Everett Reid and Constable Adelaide Hoffman, the latter of whom managed to get you the medical attention you needed without raising anyone's suspicions.
Returning with the tooth and book to Tamsin Isabell, she conducted a mysterious rite and had a vision of someone -- some figure -- burying a body. What's more, she located it as being the family home of Landon Oakes Kelvin Iverson -- the Vice President of the United States whose name happens to be an acronym for LOKI.
At Iverson's place, you found the exact spot that Tamsin envisioned, and found the very body she saw being buried, wrapped up in garbage bags. Leaving under gunfire, your phone rang.
"Please hold for the President of the United States of America."
It was Loki.
In moments, everything you had known about the houswife-turned-President all made sense. Her meteoric rise to fame, how everything seemed to work out for her, and how her rise to power began just three years ago.And you recall a passage from her autobiography, about how her neighbour still calls her Lola. Lola Keaton. Lo-Ke. She killed and buried the real Delores Keaton in the backyard of her future Vice Presidential running mate as a just-in-case.
"And you tell Odin that I'm coming at him with the full force of the United States military," she said, ending the call.
The stakes have never been higher. Now, Loki, the God of Mischief and the President of the United States, has issued his war ultimatum.
The future of the planet -- of all existence -- hangs in the balance.
