The SeaFarer's Map of Cervan

Cervan, the god of the sea, lighthouses, astrology and sea travelers has is prayed to for guidance on the tumultuous waters of Colarn. Priests of this deity are known for their connection to the waters and their unerring sense of direction. For a fee a Cervan cleric can accompany a voyage and almost guarantee a safe journey. The priests know where the most dabgerous waters and safest harbors are throughout the waterways through Cervan's guidance, but there are some secrets that not even the priests are privy to.  Legend has it that there is an artifact sacred to Cervan that does give its wielders all the secrets of the sea. It is said that the Seafarer's Map was given to the high priests of Cervan many centuries ago as a reward for their faith. At first the map looks like a normal map of the known world of Colarn, with the landmasses and islands illuminated in golden lines. When one looks closer, though things change. Anyone using the map begins to see that it responds to their thoughts. I one were to look at a particular island cluster they would see that the cluster seems to grow in size on the map and more details reveal themselves.Any hidden waterways are also revealed and even highlighted is red in response to the observer's thoughts. If one were to start looking toward the ends of the map, the images would move to reveal islands and landmasses, not yet discovered by the major known powers.  Locations of hazards will also appear where the observer directs their gaze. The current locations of storms and sea monsters appear and are illuminated in blue, and shipwrecks are outlined in green. Rumor also has it that whomever weilds this map has the limited power to summon these creatures and weather effects and command them. The Seafarer's map is a very sought after item and wars have been fought over it. No one knows where it currently resides, but anyone possessing it would be all but invincible on the seas.
