Overseer
Basic Information
Anatomy
Due to a “childhood”, if it can be called that, of near constant harsh chemical therapies and psychotraining, Overseers loose nearly all pigment in their blood as well as every hair on their body. These can lead to quite the striking appearance, the white skinned humanoid standing before you while you can also be sure he could throw you across the room if he so wished due to the adreno-steroid cocktails the beings consume to constantly stay in peak physical condition. The blood of an Overseer, not that many would ever live to tell tails of such things, is a much thicker in consistency as well as a lighter color than normal human blood due to a high percentage of it being life extending chemicals. This leads to a color closer to pink spilling from any inflicted wounds.
Genetics and Reproduction
It is said that Overseers are not born, they are made. Grown in clone farms across Overseer Guild territory, between 75-85% of clones are discarded due to genetic mismatch with the bio-chemicals needed to extended their lifespan. Once the genetic screening process has been completed, the candidates are then forced to endure years of psychotherapy and chemical treatments that greatly extend the mortal lifespan, enhance their physique, and clear their minds of anything that could get in the way of their purpose, such as emotions like empathy, mercy, and sadness.
Dietary Needs and Habits
These creatures do not require food or water, instead relying and a constant slow drip via IV typically contained in their suits to nourish their very inhuman anatomy. This mixture is a viscus white cocktail of chemicals specifically tailored to meet an Overseers daily needs.
Behaviour
Overseers derive pleasure from one thing and one thing only; completing their assignments. While aboard a wayward vessel, they enforce order and uniformity over their crews of often degenerates or prisoners of war, with no compassion for foreign concepts such as fear, boredom, or apathy. If a crewman acts up or refuses to do their designated duty, the emotionless Overseer simply convinces them that continuing the job is in their best interests, their screams serving is effective motivation for their crewmates to not try anything similar. While Overseen crews are anything but content or happy, their rate of mutiny is impeccable and the ship gets to its destination safe and on time nearly without fail.
