Omnifiber Muscle Strands
Utility
Omnifiber muscle strands are composed of what are essentially a chain of connected servos that can expand, contract, and even flex due to their segmented nature. While the size of each segment can varry greatly with the size of the mech they are installed in, typically each muscle strand servo segment is around 12" when fully extended and 6" when fully contracted.

Access & Availability
While the technology itself is largely available galaxy wide, its production is limited by its need for complex and expensive specialized manufacturing processes. This has lead to the use of synthetic muscle strands being typically confined to only the most mobile and high-end mechs in mostly the more advanced nations. These fibers are most commonly seen in mechs of the more humanoid in variety due to the human form’s biological nature pairing well with the bio-emulating technology.
