Halfling

Cisum halflings are a small, but practical folk. Not prone to fancy things or a fancy life, they are often found in simple dwellings in communities of their own kind. Most halflings are quite cheery and welcoming, with strong bonds to family and community. Those that live among the other races can blend in easily, due to their size. However, their fierce loyalty and strong work ethic make them excellent hires for any knowing businessperson. Culture and Cultural Heritage

Halflings are a practical folk, often utilizing function over fashion. This includes their clothes, their dwellings, and most of their tools and weapons. Even among the wealthy halflings it's uncommon to flaunt their treasures. Halfling practicality often gives them an edge in finding the simplest and most straightforward solutions to any problem.

Most halflings in the countryside of the continents, and among the coasts and islands, take up an agricultural life. Those inland often have sprawling, well-kept farms. Those along the coasts and among the islands often set up fishing businesses. Others with a keen sense of wanderlust or nomadic family life usually find work with trade caravans, boat crews, or traveling pilgrims.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Halflings try to get along with everyone else and are loath to make sweeping generalizations - especially negative ones. They often go out of their way to find the silver lining or the nugget of good in another person. On the rare occassion they do have a negative comment or criticism, it still somehow seems nice. This makes the halflings quite adept and assimilating into communities of humans, elves, and dwarves.
