Party Progression

Following their escape from the lab in Nostrom, the party found themselves in an underground military facility in Lost Vanguard 426. After entering, they are confronted by several Xenomorph that are chasing some soldiers. After helping the soldiers and being given a place to rest, the party is asked to help retrieve a magical chalk used to inscribe a transmutation rune.   After a trip to the armory and then fleeing from Xenomorphs that noticed the guards returning with supplies, the party took a short break in the storage room with the chalk. Chalk in hand, they returned to the weary survivors.   The decision was made, the survivors would be sent to the less dangerous rune locations while the adventurers would venture into the nest and take the risks too great for the others. While in the nest and holding the xenos at bay, the party discovers that one of the researchers that had been here, Renee, was in the nest talking to something. As they began to leave, she followed at a slow pace with no concern of the creatures.   At the final rune location, the party set about the task when a shot from Batata mortally wounded Renee in the hallway. This brought forth the queen. Nearly broken, the rune was completed and the queen driven back. Success had been had this day as the remaining survivors escaped.   Since Erika had been handling the rune, the survivors had already ascended the stairs and escaped. As the party came top side, they saw their companions being led off by Waltenburg forces. One of which, a personal guard to Walther, seemed to watch the party as they join with an Amestrian Spy that had been sent to collect them.
