This is the name given to the Nomadic Warforged tribes which find themselves spread throughout Cinder's Hope. While not all warforged individuals find themselves traveling with the nomads, a large proportion follow Reclaimer customs and rites as well as beliefs.
Appearance
The warforged Reclaimer Nomads are a scavanging people and pride themselves in their achived self-suffecencey. They often wear intricate handwoven garb and prefer brown and orange colors, however other colors and designs are often seen among any given group, especially merchants and diplomats. One striking abberation between Reclaimer Nomads and other Warforged are their relic bodies; Ancient peices of machinery that the warforged integrate into their bodies. These Relics are often adnorned with extra jewlery or tapestry and sometimes even have the stories of their discovery etched into the surronding warforged.
Traveling groups of Reclaimed call themselves a Hwah, and while they may have distinct identifyers or motives, Reclaimer nomads often and easily merge and split apart as needed.
Customs/Culture
Relic Bodies are the height of Reclaimer custom, serving as the core and inspiration for many of their beliefs. According to he Mystics and Elder Reclaimers, these Relic bodies still contain echos of the lives which imbued them in the time before and during the Darkflame Calamity. While this connection to the past is not always practical, the warforged who have Relic Bodies report subtle emotional influence, being able to tap into the subtle emtional experiances stored within the items. Many Elders and Mystics report dreams of a past time, these dreams are woven into tapestries and held by the mystics for glimpses of the long lost past.
Reclaimers believe that by right, it is the duty and responsability of Current-Day warforged to be in posession of bio-technological artifacts. Reclaimers will often move to archelogical discoveries en masse when word of a Relic Body is descovered and have been known to petition and protest the enshrinement or collection of these artifacts. Beyond this, a central tennant of Reclaimer belief is the
abhorance of the creation of automata. While golems and constructs fall into this category to a lesser extent, The Reclaimed believe that all warforged and similar automata should be allowed freedom and self-determination and any progress towards an artifical slave race be met with destruction. This includes the creation of more warforged, any smith or artificer with the talent to entreat a warforged into the world suddenly becomes a target of their suspiscion.
Many Reclaimer warforged perscribe to ideals of harmony and stwardship. While most elders will preech pascifism, this is usually exclusive to those of high prestigue within the ranks of the Reclaimers. While welcoming of outsiders, non-warforged individuals seldom can claim to be Reclaimers themselves. Instead of engendering themselves, Reclaimed warforged refer to their body and mind seperately, speaking as an outsider to describe actions abd as a vessel for their own experiance and influence.
The Death rites of the Reclaimers are taboo to some, which creates some friction between local populations and nearby Hwahs. In the event that a Reclaimer passes away, their remains are buried wherever the Hwah may be staying at the time. In this way, all who perish at this time share the same burial. The grave is unmarked but recorded on a cartographical tapestry. When 10 years has passed, the remains are exhumed and any usable parts are made to be Relic Bodies.
Mysticism
The paradigm in which the Reclaimer nomads live allows them a particuar insight into the inner workings of people and themselves. They often have an uncannily calm demenor and disarming lens of reference which makes them shrewed diplomats, negotiators, and merchants.
There are those within the reclaimers who are called Dreamwalker Mystics. They have trained and sharpened their mind to the extent that they can control and maintain the shape of their consiousness when dreaming, giving them access to the
Astral Plane. While most use this for meditative or spiritual purposes, it is said that some mystics are able to remove curses and other maladies via Dreamwalking.
