Gauthier's Machine

A machine which was built by Jean-Babtiste Gauthier in attempt to travel to The Feywild. It's unclear if the machine worked, and all attempts to reconstruct it has failed during the centuries. Yet, it was the first apparatus to use the concept of electricity as one of the properties in powering such machine. The Gauthier's machine was one of the main examples which was used by many later scientists in order to build a time machine, and it paved way for the technological way of Time traveling.

Utility

The Gauthier's machine was a complex apparatus of metal, water tanks and even live eel. Gauthier was the very first to try to harvest the electricity and use magnetism to aid in  traveling by technological -even if boosted by magic- means. Most of Gauthier's papers have been lost, but in his later years, after a long stay in Feywild, he tried to put down in writing everything he remembered about his scientific breakthrough, but at that point his memory issues had already started to affect his research.
The Machine was a unique product and it was destroyed when it managed to transport young Jean-Babtiste Gauthier into the Feywild. What remained of the apparatus was a tangled, molten heap of metal, fractured glass, pipes and the stench of fried eel. What happened to it after Gauthier was gone, is unknown, but it was presumably salvaged and melted into something new, perhaps into horseshoes, garden hoes or pitchforks. One of the ideas of the machine was to harvest the electricity of the eels and through magically infused water power the apparatus, to open a pathway into the fabric of realities and transport him safely into another realm.
