Bauk
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Bauk is a pale creature that is humanoid in form with long spindly arms and legs and sharp serrated claws, equipped for shredding their prey and climbing stone surfaces. They have long fangs that protrude from the maw and curve where they meet in the middle. They have pale strands of flesh where their eyes might be and on either side of their head have wide ears that cling close to the skull. They also have wide snouts that run along the centre of their face.
Growth Rate & Stages
The youngest of the species grow up with large heads but short and stubby limbs. Over the course of twelve years, they gradually grow the size of their torso whilst their arms grow more rapidly to prepare them to climb and hunt.
At the age of twelve, they reach a period of adolescence, developing their muscles so that they might improve as hunters and climbers. By the age of eighteen, they have usually reached the full strength of an adult Bauk.
Ecology and Habitats
Bauk tend towards dark environments and ideally like to dwell in caves, abandoned houses, and fissures.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Bauk are carnivores and tend to hunt by night, emerging from their lairs to hunt in small packs, grabbing unsuspecting targets, killing them with their claws, and then dragging them back to their lairs to devour them.
