Zidsan

The Zidsan is one of the most important trees to those who use magic. This tree has many magical uses from the sap and the wood it can be used to harness magic or enhance the use of it. It is sacred to the Deminor and even the Presari. The beast even finds use in medicinal aids. Basic Information

Anatomy

A large tree that grows many roots that spread out in all directions. Great green leaves that grow from the many branches that shoot out the top. A crystal-like substance that grows off the side of the tree and its roots that is the hardened form of its sap. These crystals glow with power as they contain essence pulled from the ground.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is unknown how these trees reproduce as no one has been able to grow them. Some say these plants start off as any normal tree but is enhanced by the closeness to one of the ley lines. What is known is that they tend to be many smaller zidsans around a larger one.

Growth Rate & Stages

These trees take about five years to be consider matured but continue to grow in size depending on how long it lives.

Ecology and Habitats

It is found in high essence rich areas where even the creatures of the forest revere these trees. It is said that the sap of the tree is what causes the larger and unique versions of creatures that make up these essence rich places.

Biological Cycle

As the tree grows older the sap begins to leak out more and more. This causes more pearls and shards to appear. This may also cause the crystallization of leaves aswell. Normally the leaves would shed like other trees when the season is right. Though when the leaves become crystalize they seem stuck to the tree as if frozen in time. Eventually, the tree will become more crystalize until it becomes encased in the sap that once filled its veins.
