The Bridge of Brio

The Bridge of Brio was built long ago by the Ancient ones and was a key strategic point for the Lord of Chaos. After the fall of the ancients, the deminor took control of it and with the aid of the other beast clans, it became the only way to enter alliance territory on their western border thanks to the great chasm. It has served as a major defense point against the presari empire in the last war and has recently a major hub for trade.

Purpose / Function

It was built to cross the great chasm that split the beast clan territories from the edge. Back during the age of the ancients.

Alterations

The end of the bridge on the alliance side has been made into a small city so that the bridge can be properly protected and to allow traders a place to stay while conducting their business. It also had all the statues of the lord of chaos taken down back after the fall of the ancients.

Architecture

It is made of ancient metal and stone with special runes used to reinforce the materials. It is kept maintained for foot traffic and has a couple of guard towers running along the length of the bridge,

History

The bridge was built by the ancient ones to establish forces in the lands that would become the beast clan alliance. The lord of chaos gained dominion of the area because he felt the dangerous beast will be good for his warriors. In time the fall of the ancients would occur and everything depicting the lords was destroyed. It was simply left uncontrolled till the Volza marched across and waged war on the beast clans. It was after their fall that the beast clans took control of it and started using it to keep people out. This prepared them for the presari empire which would try to invade at a later date. Now it has become a means of trade as the people of the edge see lots of potential business with the alliance.
