Shrine Maiden of the Fallen

The Shrine Maiden is tasked with protecting the artfiacts left over by the lady of the fallen. The most improtant things they watch over are the Heart of the Fallen and the Gateway to the Realm of the Fallen.

Qualifications

They need training in communing with spirits, channeling spirits, and the use of some of the non dangerous artifacts.

Requirements

She needs to begin her training as a virgin with a pure soul. Only after attaining the highest rank does she gain the ability to wed, in order to pass on her power to the next generation.

Appointment

They must prove themselves and pass different rituals before they can be appointed as a shrine maiden.

Duties

To watch over the spirits of the dead and aid them in traveling to the next world. To watch over the artifacts left by the lady of the fallen and to maintain the balance of life and death.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

They need to perform a task seen as blasphemy or treasonous.
