Prompt 28: Vere

Vere (First) is the name given to the first civilization that predated the Lazari. Vere was a civilization believed to be the first among all the realms of reality. Made up of people from different realities. It was said to have been founded by and old god who had the ability to traverse the realms of reality. Their civilization spanned multiple realms but called one their home. While the name of the realm or the old god is lost to time. Their influence still persist to this day.   The Vere were the ones to create the gateways that allow travel between realms. They also formed the knowledge behind the ways of creating most civilizations. The Lazari built their civilization over the bones of the Vere, as they sought the power they once held. It it through their search for knowledge that they met the last Vere and gained the means to truly build an empire thanks to this persons knowledge.   The end of the Vere occurred when the realm they called home shattered destroying it and a few other realms unlucky to be connected at the time. Those that survived were either sealed or their gateways were in lucky spots that stated connected. Mainly those protected by an old god are other powerful entity.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Not much is known of the Vere Language but it is believed that Lazari is based on the Vere Language in some way.

Shared customary codes and values

The thrill of adventure and a need to see whats out there. These values is what defined Vere and allowed anyone to become one as long as they had a drive for adventure.

Average technological level

They had some of the most advance technology in the realms of reality. As many of the brightest minds were given access to near limitless resources to create what they wanted. With nothing stopping them from experimenting as long as it doesn't harm another Vere. This means they developed a lot of things over the centuries of their existence.
