Prompt 25: Lore Master

The Lore Master was once an important position in the human tribes that helped withhold the knowledge of the past and the present. They would tell the stories of the past in order to teach valuable lessons that would help the people of the present to forge a greater future.  They would educate the children of the tribe and sometimes act as advisor to the village chief.
Though with the founding of Salire and the advancement of technology it became a profession of the past. With the lore master only surviving a a generation after the founding of Salire. Replaced by the new ways of the city and the advancement of technology that made a single person holding on to knowledge obsolete.
Once the printing press was made most knowledge was put to books. Most of the tales of the lore masters were made into books as the last lore masters faded into the shadows of the past. Leaving the next generation to find new ways to tell stories and past it to the next generations.
While some of the beast tribes hold similar positions, it is mostly handled by shamans who act as the communicator of the spirits.

Career

Qualifications

They must be taught the lessons of the past by the previous lore master and will act as apprentice or lore scribe. They will be trained to keep the knowledge of the past in the mind and be able to inform others of the stories created to hold the history of the people.

Other Benefits

Their was no financial payment back in the tribes, but the lore mastered were given gifts for their stories are taken care of by the chief of the village. As long as they did their job they had no fear for anything. They also had the respect of all the villagers.
