Prompt 16: Dur Kinth

Dur Kinth (Gold Black) is a unique material that can be found on the black market at high prices. A material that can only be retrieved in the western lands on corrupted soil. This material has an odd beauty to it and anything made from it almost seems to have a life of it's own as all eyes are drawn to it. Though it's exotic look can be deceiving.
This materials real use is it's ability to extend the life of anyone who carries it. From people surviving dangerous wounds long enough to be healed. To those who may have been poisoned and would have died a slow an agonizing death will allow them to survive past the agonizing pain. This ability is what has drove the material to it's high price along with the eyes of the imperial purifiers and the sin hunters.
Legally labeled as dangerous contraband that can cause the possibility of execution or a high level sentence amongst both those groups. The reason for this is that the material heals by stealing life essence from the living. While this could possibly be used to aid someone with a little sacrifice from those who care. Prolong use can corrupt the users life essence. Over time turning them in to something that craves the life essence of others.
Even with this somewhat known, it has still become a valuable commodity on the black market as the rich tend to care more to prolong their lives than the worry of becoming a life sucking monster.
