Prompt 10: The Festival of Founding

The Festival of founding is a tradition that started some time after the founding of Salire. It was treated as a way to honor the founders of Salire and the Tribes that help started their new home. It is a period where people embrace their cultural heritage though art. It is also a time where people show of whatever they created to honor the past and show off what is possible for future generations.   It was here where many artist and creatives can show off their work to honor the founders. Many artist made their names here and even some creative craftsmen made their name in showing off creations that could be used to aid the city in its survival. The festival became rather important in the artist and craftsmen sphere as a means to make a name for themselves.

History

The Festival Started originally as a a day of remembrance to honor the torchbearer who sacrificed everything and those who fought beside them to rekindle the elemental generator. It would eventually grow to honor all who died over time to maintain the settlement. It was when the council of chiefs became the noble council that the founding was made a week long festival. Turning it from a somber affair to a celebration of the heroes of the past.
The whole rebranding allowed for the nobles to manipulate the narrative and downplay the torchbearer. They also made it more about their families and how they sacrificed for Salire. This also allowed them downplay other tribes they considered unworthy,

Participants
