History: The Steadfast System was first settled by the Tutha of the Dragon’s Head Nebula.
After the Fabian Conquest of Drala, it became an important Military base, and quickly grew in population as civilians settled on the world of Steadfast, and Moon of Hurst to support the military base. The Star Fortress of Cliff was built by the Fabians as part of the military.
After the Fabian Withdrawal the system fell into the hands of leading Fabian Tutha families, who used it as a power base to expand the Fabian Tutha influence until the Battle of XXXXX in 6,934 when three Fabian Tutha kings were defeated by King Gaius Gisking of the Kingdom of Daxholm, and one of his children. The Systems of Cinders, Bronzegard, Starholm, and Steadfast fall to the Kingdom of Daxholm.
By 6,948 the Kingdom of Daxholm had lost it’s control over the Starholm, and Steadfast Systems. King Gaius Gisking, and Cutha Gisking defeat a large Fabian Tutha force, but Cutha is killed, although several minor systems fall. The Kingdom of Jordane rises up with the Jordayne kings of Jordane and Steadfast, who are said to swear loyalty to the Kingdom of Daxholm for a short time.
The Kingdom of Jordayne would become one of the many small kingdoms of the Old Blood, but by 7,036 the King of Jordayne would be defeated in battle by Lord Zara Redmane Aegis, and bend the knee. The kingdom would remain a Sub-Kingdom under the Kingdom of Warwick until 7,340 when the last King of Jordayne, and the kingdom become fully part of the Kingdom of Warwick, and Great lords within the kingdom.
The Steadfast System, although never conquered by the Great Savage Host, suffered much from it, and the destruction of the Kingdom of Warwick like many systems within the Warwick sector. By 9,057, Lord Oldseal of Steadfast joined his forces to that of King Osgar ‘The Great’ Gisking in the great battle against Kenrick ‘The Old’ Ironstone. After their victory, Lord Oldseal offers his submission, and loyalty to the King of Daxholm, becoming one of the first outside of Daxholm to do so.
Under the rule of the Kingdom of Daxholm, Steadfast remained a major, and powerful system within not just the Sector of Warwick, but the growing Kingdom of Daxholm until the founding of the Commonwealth. It has long played an important role in defending Old Blood Space from the Tutha of Walhaz.
The world of Steadfast is home to more than 750 Million, while it’s moon of Hurst is home to another six million. The old Fabian Star Fortress of Cliff is manned by almost a million, making it one of the larger Star Fortresses in the Commonwealth of Drala, and it’s shipyard complex known simply as the Steadfast Shipyards has a population of over half a million, and it one of the larger shipyard complexes in the Warwick Sector.
