Kingsgate Sector

Type: Sector Population: 5 Billion Ruling House: Goldmint Ruler: Kayden Goldmint Culture: Old Blood History: The King's Gate sector became home to some of the first Furse to flee the Old Ruins of Furse Space when the Skoll invaded during the times of the Thousand Years of Darkness. These Furse took up service with the local lords before they were betrayed. Many Fabian Tutha lords were overthrew after the betrayal by the Furse, and the Kingsgate Sector because home to some of the first early Old Blood Kingdoms. House Thenn Aegis followed by House Shore Aegis were the first to become kings in Drala, and and their kingdoms were in the Kingsgate Sector. Ella Shore Aegis would become the first High King of the Old Blood in Drala.
The Kingsgate Sector saw the likes of House Winta Aegis, Redmane Aegis, Gisking Aegis, Sledd Aegis, Ice Aegis, Sutton Aegis, and many more famous and powerful royal families pass through it’s sector as they conquered further sections of Drala from the Fabian Tutha. Although many, like House Gisking, do not like to be reminded of their past, and their important link to the famous Clan Aegis of Furse Space. Other kings and powerful clans also passed through the sector.
Called the Kingsgate sector for the many king's which have traveled through the system and sector. King's invading the Dragon's Head Nebula, king's invading outside, and those who would become kings within the Dragon's Head Nebula after the conquest of worlds further in the nebula.
Once known as the Kingdom on the Edge. Located on the South Eastern edge of the Dragon’s Head Nebula, and the closest Sector to Salian space across the Dralan Trade Route. It has long made wealth through trade with the control of the only Fabian Gatewat linking Drala to th rest of Fabian Space through the Dralan Trade Route. Sparely populated, mostly because of the non stop raids from outsiders like the Furse, wars of conquest from various kingdoms for control of the gateway like Daxholm, Furia, and Warwick, it is still one of the richer sectors of the Commonwealth of Drala.
The Kingdom on the Edge was conquered by Daxholm, and by the time of the Great Savage Host would become part of the Kingdom of Daxholm. It’s systems would fall under the command of the Kings of Daxholm after the death of the last sub King of the Kingdom on the Edge, the brother of the King of Daxholm, dies. Ruled by System-lords loyal to the king of the Commonwealth. It would often be handed over to the Crown Prince of Daxholm to be ruled as a sub king to the King of Daxholm, and allow the crown prince to build their own power base.
After the arrival of the Great Savage Host the Kingsgate Sector was heavily raided for years, and even under control of several Furse Warlords before Osgar ‘The Great’ Gisking defeated the Great Savage Host and reclaimed the sector.
