Holderness Sector

The Holderness is the northern most Sector in the Commonwealth of Drala. Home to 14 Billion, the sector is split between the five major systems of Holderness, Barrows, Karthmere, New Holm, and the Kratos System, along with dozens of minor sub systems sworn to the five major System-lords of the Sector. Often defending against raids from the Fabian Tutha of the United Worlds of Kaledon to the north, and fending of savage raids from pirates, raiders, and the Furse from the Nord Void.   Conquered by Taryn Ice Aegis, the Holderness Sector was one of the first great kingdoms of the Old Blood Furse to arise in the Dragon's Head Nebula thousands of years ago when the Furse fled the Skoll in what is now the Old Ruins of Furse Space. The Kings of Holderness would conquer the Kingdom of Bloom, and forge the ancient kingdom of Umbria from which the Old Blood Furse of Bloom and Holderness had fled when that kingdom fell to the Skoll.   The Kingdom of Umbria would become one of the most powerful kingdoms of the Old Blood in Drala, but later be surpassed by that of the Kingdom of Warwick. They were also one of the first kingdoms to embrace the Fabian Faith.   When the Great Savage Host commanded by the Sons of Rothgar arrived in the Dragon's Head Nebula, they brought down the Kingdom of Umbria, the first but not last of the Old Blood kingdoms to fall to the Furse. The Holderness Sector would be the last sector reclaimed by the Old Blood before the creation of the Commonwealth of Drala by Wynnstan Gisking. House Ice once ruled the sector as kings, and now rule as Lords of Holderness in the name of the King of the Commonwealth.
