Protectorate of Edrinn
Much like it's neighbor, The Wilds , the Protecotorate of Edrinn is made up mostly of tribes, automomous villaes, and warlords.
The difference is, these otherwise automomous areas pay tribute to the rulling leader of Edrinn (currently Ayatollah Abdulllah of Eldrinn ).
The Ayatollah is an elected Monarch chosen every 5 years by a council of elders gathered from the various tribes and warlords who select one they feel is strong enough to keep them united and protected from foreign invasion.
The result is that the Protectorate maintain a standing army to keep the peace and to defend those that pay tribute.
