Saga and Lung

This is the story of a world born of Love. The creation myth common on the continent of Tara.

Saga and Lung lived under the dark primordial waters at the beginning and center of the world. They first had nothing--no house, no children, no world except the sand under their feet. They did, however, have each other, and they were very fond of giving one another gifts.

I.

Lung swam to the top of the primordial waters, took a breath and brought the air down to Saga, who could then gasp in surprise.
Saga could not swim, as they were very weak; but Saga could sleep and dream, and in their dreams they did create. When Saga awoke, Saga created light, a soft glow that would follow Lung wherever Lung would go.

II.

Lung scooped mud into their hands and pushed it into a shape over. Lung's light rose and fell because of how long the work was. At the end, Lung had made a house where Saga could sleep more comfortably.
Saga could not scoop or push, as Saga was very weak. Still, Saga felt gratitude and listened to the primordial waters outside, which helped Saga fall asleep. Saga dreamed of a sound that could make smiles and warmth. When Saga awoke to Lung's embrace, there was laughter and it made warmth both their smiles.
