Chicago: the Dreaming

The changelings of Chicago live out their lives in a world that grows, every day, more and more against them.   The mighty nobles, aloof but powerful, play their endless games of courtly intrigue night after night, defending magic and wonder by any means necessary. Simple commoners, boots on the ground in the very same war, live side-by-side with the mortal humans whose dreams make their very existences possible, fighting the coming of winter to their last chilled breath. Other, stranger children of the Dreaming may be friends or foes but are united by the same common cause.   It is by human dreams the fae survive. It is by human stagnation they fade. It is by human hands they are destroyed.   And through it all are our players. Trying to survive, and on a good day to thrive, in a city of iron and water...the crossroads city of a world ready to let them disappear.   Theme: Wonder   Mood: The Last Stand
