The University of Chicago is a private, non-profit research university in Chicago, Illinois. It holds top-ten positions in various national and international rankings. The university is well known for its professional schools of medicine, business, law, and many more. University of Chicago scholars have played a major role in the development of many academic disciplines, including sociology, law, economics, literary criticism, religion and the behavioralism school of political science. Chicago's physics department helped develop the world's first man-made, self-sustaining nuclear reaction, and university research efforts include administration of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory, as well as the Marine Biological Laboratory
Secretly, the university is controlled via proxies by Clan Tremere, chiefly Primogen Takanashi Kinshi with the aid of Christopher Kirby and Bradley Chapman. Hayden Green, who handles many of the Clan's other external interests, helps out to an extent.
Non-Tremere Kindred are not excluded from the campus grounds, but any violations of laws or decorum are apt to draw punishments from the Warlocks over and above those inflicted by actual law enforcement agents like Sheriff Maxwell Hearst.
