The Sabbat
For as long as there has been The Camarilla there has been the Sabbat. As one was the natural restructuring of an existing system in the wake of major socioeconomic change, so was the other the successor to a rebellion against that original order.
Most Camarilla Kindred know little about the Sabbat. It is known that they reject the Masquerade completely, flaunting their vampiric status whenever possible. It is known that they loathe Elders in particular and attempt to destroy powerful Kindred at every turn. It is known that they are not afraid to use fire as a weapon.
The one thing no one disputes is that the two organizations are in a constant state of open warfare, referred to by some older Kindred as the Jyhad. There can be detente, as there is in Chicago right now, but there can never be peace.
History
The Sabbat closest to Chicago are defined by the events of The Shadow War. They made their best play for the city at that time and lost so they retreated to Indiana to lick their wounds. For political reasons, Chicago's Camarilla Kindred are unwilling to commit a full assault to just rout them all and be done with it, so a cold war has resulted. Prince Reinhold Fisher's agents don’t outright attack the Sabbat, but they undermine them at every possible turn in order to keep them weak.
Demography and Population
The Sabbat's core leadership contains Kindred from two of the thirteen Clans: The Lasombra and the Tzimisce.
There are also members from many of the other Clans who, having gone against the rest of their brethren, are called antitribu.
Territories
The nearest Sabbat are believed to be in the northern parts of Indiana.
