Acquiring Status
Rather than a simple 1-5 dots, the Status background is broken up into 5 categories in this game:- Clan Status
- City Status
- Neonate Status
- Ancilla Status
- Elder Status
City Status
This is your character's standing in the city of Chicago.- Acknowledged, permitted to reside in the city with rights and responsibilities.
- Recognized by the city for deeds on the kindred population's behalf.
- Valued by the city for holding Court office, committing distinguished deeds for the city, just not screwing up for a really long time.
- Respected by the city for holding high office, being an Elder, particular loyalty or valor.
- Admired for being the Prince.
Clan Status
This is your character's Status within their Clan.- A known and recognized member of the Clan.
- A member of the Clan that has distinguished themselves in the city.
- A member of the Clan that has distinguished themselves in the Clan.
- A member of the Clan that holds a Court office.
- A member of the Clan of exceptional value (an elder, has held office for many years, works on the Clan's behalf, etc.)
Neonate Status
The regard that the neonates of the city hold for you.- Your existence is not disputed.
- You've made a name for yourself (good or bad).
- The name you've made is definitely a good one.
- You work on behalf of neonates in the city (this is the highest a non-neonate can achieve).
- Your defense of the young kindred in Chicago borders on siding with the Anarchs.
Ancilla Status
The regard that the ancillae of the city hold for you.- You've distinguished yourself among your own age range.
- You've distinguished yourself before numerous ancillae.
- You can advance causes held by ancilla kindred without compromising yourself.
- You'll make a good Elder one day (this is the highest a non-ancilla can achieve).
- You're star is burning very hot, all of a sudden, maybe too hot to last.
Elder Status
The regard that the elders of the city hold for you.- Your existence is recognized by elders outside your own Clan.
- You have proved useful to the agenda of one or more elders, once or twice.
- You have proved very useful to multiple elders who don't have conflicting agendas (this is the highest a non-elder can achieve).
- You are a worthy adversary.
- This slot is only held by an individual that multiple elders acknowledge could probably kill them if they wanted to.
