The shadowed history of Chicago, shaped by the ancient feud between vampire Methuselahs Menele and Helena, has dictated its fate since the 17th century, with their rivalry shaping the city's leadership from its wilderness beginnings through the Great Chicago Fire, to the establishment of Lodin's rule, embedding their eternal conflict in the city's very essence.
