Duality Isle

This island (and several other small islands surrounding it) off of the east coast of Chenravo is home to the Githyanki and the Githzerai. While in many places these two peoples are adversarial, here they have largely come to coexist. The Githzerai act as philosophers and strategists, while the Githyanki are the military might and protectors of the islands.    There are many settlements across the islands, though it seems that when the Githyanki set up their training outposts, they intentionally seek out the most difficult places to survive. None of the settlements are located in places that are ideal for settlement, but those places do exist. It seems that the Gith way is to challenge themselves in as many ways as they can.

Geography

The main Island, known as Gir'na'torth, is separated into a forested area and a savannah. The forest is on the northern side, and takes up a fair amount of the center of the island. The savannah is along the entire east and outh coasts, as well as the southern half of the west coast. It is also the environment of the entire south half of the island.    Gir'na'torth also has five lakes scattered about. One of them, Ta'uis, is next to their capital city, Yon'di'kal. Two of the others are near to the city. The final two are on the south side of the island, one very near the coast.    The coasts are largely rocky, and some of them have cliffs, but none exceed 25 feet. On the north shore, there is a long beachy bay. While tourists occasionally spend time here, the Gith largely ignore this beautiful landscape to focus on their own pursuits.

Climate

Due to the main island's size, the center and Yon'di'kal see some minor variation through the seasons, but the coastal areas and for many miles inland have much more temperate coastal weather. The island is, however, suseptible to large sea storms such as hurricanes. These storms can cause huge amounts of damage to structures and the environment. Many buildings, particularly those that were built shoddily, occasionally collapse or flood. After a storm, much of the island's savannah lands are flooded as well, and it is not uncommon for trees to be knocked over or uprooted entirely.

Natural Resources

The island has a great many herbs, minerals, and plants that are ingredients in many potions. Several researchers from Harkinmont have worked together to successfully transplant various types of these vegetation to within their time distortion in order to have a better supply of them. Not all of them took to Harkinmont, however, and must still be imported from the islands.

Tourism

Unfortunately, none of the islands have a warpstone, making travel here difficult. those who do come do so by boat and find a sharp difference in the cultures of the two types of Gith. While the Githzerai are generally welcoming to outsiders, particularly to ask questions of their perspectives, the Githyanki are far less interisted in the thoughts of outsiders, preferring to rely on their own methodologies and practises. While both are somewhat suspicious of outsiders, the Githyanki are certainly worse. They are not, however, half as xenophobic as the elves.
