The Drooping Princess

The flowers stand out in amongst the pale landscapes of the far north. They are a yellow colour, a bright shade that stands out in the vast nothingness

In the long, matted and curly hair of Northwomen of Atoirel, one might happen to see a certain type of bright yellow flower poking out of their masses of hair. This flower is known as the Drooping Princess to the forigener, Galanthus Demissa to the scholar, or Klãnʻ Ntust Sudfïkoẽdt Fyit to the people of the areas. And sometimes it is called after a lady's skirt. Some atest it to have age restoring abilites as well.

The Drooping Princess are bulbous plants and have a yearly growth cycle, which only a short period of the year is above ground. The flower's most known artibute, are its petals, which each flower only has 3-5 of, all of which are a bright, powerful shade of yellow, usually made into a fabric dye, used mostly for flags and banners. These flowers are also seen to be a vanity item, which often women will place in their hair thanks to a misguided supersition. People beleive that these flowers restore youth to a person, which while is a falsehood, is still widely belived. This has lead to many conmen making profit of selling items that quote-on-quote 'restore youth to the subject of use'. These conmen especially play off the upper classes of the continent who thanks to their wealth can afford to spend on 'luxury' or vanity items of this sort even if they happen to be blatant scams.
