Golarion
BaseHumans are diverse and adaptable people with wide potential and deep ambitions.
As unpredictable and varied as any of Golarion's peoples, humans have exceptional drive and the capacity to endure and expand. Though many civilizations thrived before humanity rose to prominence, humans have built some of the greatest and the most terrible societies throughout the course of history, and today they are the most populous people in the realms around the Inner Sea.
Humans' ambition, versatility, and exceptional potential have led to their status as the world's predominant ancestry. Their empires and nations are vast, sprawling things, and their citizens carve names for themselves with the strength of their sword arms and the power of their spells. Humanity is diverse and tumultuous, running the gamut from nomadic to imperial, sinister to saintly. Many of them venture forth to explore, to map the expanse of the multiverse, to search for long-lost treasure, or to lead mighty armies to conquer their neighbors—for no better reason than because they can.
Animundi
BaseHumans, Avatars of AmbitionHumans are some of the most common, yet diverse people anywhere and on any given plane. On Animundi, that is no different, though there is a slight cultural wrinkle due humanity's existence alongside, or in stark contrast to, the bestial folk of the plane, as well as it's spiritual and psionic magic. No matter where, however, humankind can come from any walk of life, and are truly able to live from just about anywhere.
You Might...
- Seek to understand other cultures, and how Soul Magic affects them.
Other's Probably...
- Are wary where you're from, since humans can stubbornly survive anywhere.
Diversity and PowerHuman adaptability is legendary amongst most cultures, with their ability to change and or adapt to whatever the situation needs being why they've survived for so long. On Animundi, this manifested not only with different cultures cropping up over time, but with how humans have physically changed, and can change, with a strong enough influence from outside forces.
Human Hybrids are some of the most common kind of Hybrid, through natural processes or otherwise. As a result, the most common kind of Caeling, Dracorians, Elf, Ginasi, Orc, or Tieflings are half-human. With this and the abundance of humans around the world, it's small wonder why they're easy to find in any crowd or establishment.
Though, where they're from matters as well.
Humans of ItuanaThe human tribes of Ituana have a particularly storied history of legacy and endurance. They, like others, inherited the powers of the Ginn and other cultures that retreated to the continent. As a result, many of the humans, now, are born with innate elemental sorcery even if they are not Ginasi, and shamanic rituals are more than common in many family traditions. Ituanians are often braned with tattoos or leymarks, and Ituanian humans are no different.
Humans of LabentiaThe humans of Labentia make up a bulk of it's population, with such being little surprise due to it's enforced hegemonic state. Labentian humans trend toward ‘The Traditional’ in their Magimeritocracy, and embrace this way of life in everything they do or create. To this end, Labentian Humans are proud and patriotic to fault.
Due to the proximity of Nuquam, and Labentia’s military prowess, there is much overlap with Humans of the island continent, especially within regard to the Labentian Navy.
Humans of Nuquam Although Humans cannot survive underwater and, in comparison to other folk, are relatively short-lived; the islands of Nuquam are home to a score ocean-savvy humans. Like the others that live int he region, (Triton, Tortle, Elves, etc), Nuquam Humans have embraced the dangers of the seas and come from nautical backgrounds of all professions. Human vessels of Nuquam take stylistic choices from both Labentia and The Quas continents, the blend of industry and magic creating some of the most unique ships in the world visually.
Humans of PhiddipusIn the ancestral home of many Dragons and other scalekind, humans are present, but rare. Due to draconic culture of the continent, the human form is seen as a welcome, but temporary stage in life, as much of the Phiddipian populus partakes in the use of transformation magic. In the Land of Transcendence, all are considered equal in the grand piety zeitgeist.
Humans of the Quas (Quala and Quasi)While not necessarily a minority, the humans of the Quas continents find themselves among the many beast folk that represent broad swaths of these continents’ diverse populations. As such, any human who garners enough respect to gain a foothold in any governmental position on either continent is treated with both suspicion and respect. Outside of such, humans find themselves brought into the familial units or pack communities many of these societies have if they’re accepted into the fold, and they gain friends amongst some of the strangest company.
