VH: Orcish Legacy
Orc
Description
Roleplaying Info
Orcs are a strong and durable people. One that have survived on many a plane despite being pushed to the margins of society or the wilderness. It's for this reason that Orcs are considered savage monsters or worse despite having tribes, rituals and societies to lean on themselves. Through this hardship and strife, life for orcs tends to go on. Despite many thinking (or, perhaps, hoping) that such a life could not begat anything resembling love and community, this will always be proven wrong by the enduring Legacy of the Orcs. Through union, adoption, or assimilation; the Orcish Legacy takes the form of individuals who have the features of an Orc and their main ancestry. Similar skin colors, having tusks or a build larger than most humanoid folk, etc; all of such is accompanied by the many cultural markers, magic, and/or traditions of the orc. To this end, it's also entirely possible for someone to maintain an Orcish Legacy outside of birth and blood.
You Might...
- Ignore, embrace, or actively counter the common stereotypes about those of orcish heritage.
- Make the most of your large physique, either physically or socially.
- Keep your distance from people of most other ancestries, in case they unfairly reject you due to your orcish ancestors.
Others Probably...
- Assume you enjoy and excel at fighting but aren't inclined toward magical or intellectual pursuits.
- Pity you for the circumstances they assume involve your birth, or understand and avoid problematic assumptions like many of the ignorant and bigoted propagate.
- Get out of your way and back down rather than face your anger.
