Stubborn Persistence

Humans are renowned for their ability to persist through the most grueling of trials that would leave others ready to drop. When you become Exhausted, you can roll a Concentration skill check or Fortitude Save vs an Average DC by Level (base 23 at character level 9). On a Normal Success, you ignore the effects of the exhaustion till your next Short Rest. You can make another check at that time. If you fail, you suffer the effects immediately. If the reason you have the condition has an underlying cause that you don’t address, such as lack of rest or a reason determined by the GM, you must keep making checks until you address the underlying cause, or deal with the Exhaustion normally.
