Description: With a guttural chant and a chilling touch to the vial, you unleash a tide of insidious whispers into the minds of those around you. A shimmering aura of infernal deceit surrounds you, subtly twisting the words and perceptions of all within its reach. Choose one of the following effects:
Seeds of Doubt: The whispers sow seeds of distrust and paranoia within the minds of each creature of your choice within range. Creatures must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature becomes increasingly suspicious of its allies, believing they harbor hidden motives or harboring betrayal. This effect lasts for the duration of the spell, and affected creatures have disadvantage on any Charisma (Persuasion) checks targeting them by other allies and have advantage on their Wisdom (Insight) checks against them.
Twisted Tongues: The whispers warp the meanings of words, twisting innocuous phrases into veiled threats and pronouncements of doom. Each creature of your choice within range must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature's speech becomes laced with cryptic pronouncements and misleading hints. They cannot speak directly or honestly, their words twisted by the insidious whispers. This effect lasts for the duration of the spell, and affected creatures can only communicate through riddles, metaphors, and cryptic messages.
Infernal Puppetry: You target a single creature within range, weaving whispers of obedience and compulsion into its mind. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes subtly enthralled by you for the duration of the spell. You can issue simple mental commands to the creature, which it obeys to the best of its ability. However, the creature is aware of your influence and will resist commands that are harmful to itself or others, unless such resistance would expose your control.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the range of the spell increases by 30 feet for each slot level above 4th. Additionally, the duration of the Seeds of Doubt and Twisted Tongues effects increases by 1 minute for each slot level above 4th.
