Symphony of the Cosmos Spell in Changing Stars | World Anvil

Symphony of the Cosmos

Symphony of the Cosmos Level 8 Evocation Casting Time: 1 minute
  Range: Self (60-foot radius sphere)
  Components: V, S, M (a crystal flute carved from a fallen star)
  Duration: Instantaneous
Description: With a breath drawn from the very essence of the universe, you raise the crystal flute to your lips and unleash a melody of pure creation. The air shimmers with vibrant colors, reality cracks around you, and a vibrant symphony of celestial power erupts from the flute, engulfing the surrounding area in its ethereal embrace. Choose one of the following effects:
Chorus of Creation: The music weaves threads of raw magic into existence, reshaping the world around you. You can choose one of the following effects:
Mend the Broken: Heal all creatures within the sphere for 10d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier hit points and cure any status effects they are suffering from. Additionally, you can mend broken objects within the area, restoring them to their original state. Forge Anew: Alter the terrain within the sphere, reshaping the land, raising hills, carving valleys, and filling the area with vibrant flora and fauna. You can create difficult terrain, natural obstacles, or even structures such as bridges or platforms. Banish the Unwanted: The music blasts outward, forcing creatures of your choice within the sphere that are aberrations, celestials, elementals, or fey back to their home planes. Creatures that succeed on a Constitution saving throw are instead pushed 60 feet away from you. Dissonance of Discord: The music twists and warps, unleashing a wave of destructive energy. Each creature of your choice within the sphere, including yourself, must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d10 force damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and is not deafened. Additionally, within the sphere, magical effects become distorted and unreliable. Spells cast within the area have a 50% chance of failing, and any ongoing magical effects have a 50% chance of ending prematurely.
Requiem of Eternity: The music becomes a haunting dirge, pulling at the threads of time and existence. Choose one creature within the sphere, including yourself. That creature enters a state of suspended animation for 1 hour. While in this state, the creature is unconscious, immune to all damage and effects, and cannot be targeted by spells or abilities. At the end of the duration, the creature reawakens in the same place, unharmed and unchanged.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level or higher, the healing, damage, range of the pushback effect, and duration of the suspended animation all increase by 1d6 for each slot level above 8th. Additionally, you can choose two effects from the Chorus of Creation list to activate simultaneously upon casting the spell.
