Gossamer Veil of the Feywild is an enchanting spell that calls upon the whimsical and mercurial essence of the Feywild, a realm where beauty and danger intertwine like the threads of a spider's web. When cast, a diaphanous, iridescent veil of light emerges from your being, extending outward to enshroud you and your allies in an aura of fey protection.

This shimmering veil, reminiscent of the morning mist in an enchanted forest, provides several layers of protection and misdirection:

Fey Camouflage: The veil bends light and perception around you and your allies within its radius, granting advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. The subtle distortions of the veil make it difficult for enemies to pinpoint your exact location. Capricious Defense: The capricious nature of the Feywild infuses the veil. When you or a creature within the veil's radius is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. This represents the veil momentarily disorienting the attacker with a flicker of fey light or an illusory displacement of the target. Moreover, the veil resonates with the unpredictable nature of the Feywild. Each time you successfully use the veil to impose disadvantage on an attack, roll a d6. On a roll of 6, the veil responds with a playful trick. The attacker is momentarily distracted by a burst of fey magic, causing them to suffer disadvantage on the next attack roll or ability check they make before the end of their next turn.

While the veil provides protection, it also reflects the fickle nature of the Feywild. After using the veil's reaction effect, you must roll a d20. On a roll of 1, the veil flutters capriciously, becoming inactive until the start of your next turn as it whimsically recalibrates its enchantment.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the radius of the veil increases by 5 feet, and the frequency of the fey trick (the roll needed on a d6 to trigger it) decreases by 1 (to a minimum of 2) for each slot level above 2nd.
