Golden Glade Settlement in Changing Stars | World Anvil

Golden Glade

Golden Glade, a quaint and mystic settlement, nestles on the eastern shores of the vast Lake Abo. Far removed from the clamor of city life, this village, drenched in a perpetual golden hue from its swampy environs, offers a serene sanctuary. Here, time meanders as languidly as the village's gentle streams. Home to folk who don't like living the fast city life. They take things slow and easy, believing good things take time. Many halfling families live here, as well as other species, with humans being the second most populated species in the village area. They have a governor appointed by the Baroness, a Goliath woman named Tisa Smith and she is proactive in running the governmental affairs of the village. Most shops and taverns in the village are built on the shoreline, either of the lake itself or one of the many inlets from it that form the swamp. This allows people to use their boats or to walk around town as needed. The village is known for its crawfish boils, and has a number of taverns known far and wide for their food and fun atmosphere.
