Glimpse of Fate
Glimpse of Fate
1st-level divinationCasting Time: 1 bonus action
Range: Self
Components: V, S, M (a piece of quartz worth at least 1 gp, and a coin made of gold worth at least 1 gp, both of which are consumed in the casting)
Duration: Instantaneous
Glimpse of Fate: You briefly open your inner eye, catching a glimpse of the threads of destiny guiding your path. Roll a d20 and record the number. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature you can see within 30 feet with the foreseen number. You must choose to do so before the results of the roll have been determined. The foreseen roll is used instead of the die roll.
Once you replace a roll in this way, you lose any unused benefit of this spell.
Mystic Resonance: When a spell with Mystic Resonance is cast, it leaves a magical imprint that strengthens the next spell cast within its vicinity, regardless of the caster. The vicinity is a 30 foot radius from the caster. The next spell cast within the area that has "At Higher Levels" features triggers the next level up of ability for the spell as though a higher level spell slot was used in it's casting. The Mystic Resonance fades away without effect if no spell is cast within range before the glimpse is used to replace the last available glimpse roll.
At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can replace one additional roll for each slot level above 1st.
Classes: Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer, Wizard
