  Description: With a guttural growl and a flick of your wrist, you summon a torrent of hellfire from the depths of the Infernal planes. A searing beam of crimson energy erupts from your outstretched hand, crackling with malevolent power. Choose one of the following effects:
  Infernal Inferno: The balefire blasts forward in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d10 fire damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and is not pushed. Additionally, flammable objects within the area ignite, creating a fire that lasts for 1 minute.
  Soul Scorch: The balefire targets a single creature within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 12d6 fire damage and its maximum hit points are reduced by 10d6. This reduction lasts for 1 hour, at which point the target regains any lost hit points if they haven't died in the meantime. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and its maximum hit points are not reduced.
  Demonic Branding: The balefire brands a mark of infernal power onto a creature within range. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target is branded with a symbol of the Abyss for 1 hour. While branded, the target has disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws and takes an additional 1d4 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. As an action, a creature can attempt to break the brand by making another Wisdom saving throw with advantage. On a success, the brand is dispelled.
  At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level or higher, the damage of all effects increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 8th. Additionally, the Infernal Inferno effect now pushes creatures 20 feet away instead of 10 feet.
