Talent: Intimidation

Intimidation is the subtle social art of bullying. Characters with this ability are use to getting their way not because of the inherent strength of their ideas but because they have learned to cajole and threaten. This roll can depend on both social and/or physical attributes. Particularly strong, dexterous, or resilient characters may intimidate by making appropriate displays of force from bending metal beams to enduring self-inflicted bodily injury in a display of how "tough" they are. Because intimidation rolls tend to escalate, the initial interaction is usually Social (roll Manipulation + Intimidation) while backing your words up will rely on rolling the necessary Physical trait + Intimidation. In such cases, the successes from the Social roll tend to lower the difficulty of the Physically oriented Intimidation roll that follows. Note that Intimidation does not involve supernatural manipulation, and an Intimidated character may roll their Courage rating to ignore a successful Intimidation roll.

Ability Level:

0 Abysmal: Your bark is worse than your bite and it shows.
1 Novice: People smaller than you have learned to stay out of your way when you get in certain moods.
2 Practiced: People think twice before crossing you. Your disapproving stare unsettles most people.
3 Competent: You are able to produce a subtle mixture of street cred and well chosen words. Gangstas and Military types even defer to you.
4 Expert: The very sound of your name scares the locals. You rarely have to resort to violent displays to show people that you mean business.
5 Master: Even creatures with supernatural aversions to fear such as vampires and werewolves can learn to be afraid of you.
