Talent: Empathy

Empathy is the trait that allows you to discern the motives and feelings of others. This allows your character to have a somewhat intuitive access to the emotions and motives of others. Keep in mind that this talent is not ESP, and all knowledge gained by empathy rolls is very vague in comparison to what may be learned by supernatural powers like Aura Perception or Spirit's Touch. Botches with empathy can be particularly nasty as well, as the empathetic character may begin to sympathize with the emotions of others and act in their favor because they have walked a mile in somebody else's shows.

Ability Level:

0	Abysmal: Typical cyborg. You are not all that in touch with your own emotions and you rarely notice how others are feeling.
1	Novice: Typical child. You easily notice intense emotions such as crying, anger, and lust and have learned to ask, "what's wrong" as long as it's safe.
2	Practiced: Typical woman. People have begun to consider you a confidant, and even people you don't know open up to you at parties.
3	Competent: Typical con-artist. You have gotten good enough at analyzing the emotions of others to begin turning that information to your advantage.
4	Expert: Typical shrink. You know how to lead conversations to get information and real feelings and motives out of people.
5	Master: World-class psychologist. You frequently guess peoples next words, and you can also predict when people will act on an emotion that overrides their logic.

Players may choose a specialty at level 4 and gain a second specialty at level 5.
