Talent: Awareness

Unlike Alertness, Awareness specifically deals with the perception of the supernatural, the spiritual, and the unexplained. It is a frequent human condition to ignore and pass over the supernatural, but practitioners of Awareness have trained themselves to notice the odd. Awareness rolls may be made whenever a character uses a supernatural power or other numinous phenomenon. Keep in mind that this only accounts for perceiving a supernatural event, and does not include analyzing the nature or even the source of a power. Subtle powers such as ESP, Cloaking, and mind control will not have an explicit source, and an Aware character would only know that someone in the vicinity was doing something mystical. Also rolls involving disciplines like Cognition require Awareness rolls.

Ability Level:

0	Abysmal: Unbeliever. You really don't have a mental file for the supernatural, and you consequently miss everything but the obvious--like fireballs.
1	Novice: You sometimes get weird vibes from people and certain places when they have a supernatural resonance.
2	Practiced: Believer. You feel the supernatural around you frequently, and you are always curious to see what's causing a disturbance.
3	Competent: When you concentrate, you can feel the ebb and flow of magical things around you.
4	Expert: You understand that most things have a supernatural component to them, and you are good at judging both location and strength of supernatural beings.
5	Master: If something supernatural is happening around you, be it a discipline, or the approach of a spirit being, you will be likely to feel it.

Sample Specialties:
Talismans, Spirits, Ghosts, Disciplines, Mystic Places, etc.
Players may choose a specialty at level 4 and another specialty at level 5.
