Skill Etiquette

In social situations, etiquette can go a long way in keeping your character in the good graces of the powerful and wealthy.  This skill describes how well mannered your character is and how well they adjust their speech patterns and body language to match the mood or register of their current situation.  It is most commonly used where a Character must say the right thing in the right tone in order to get results.

Ability Levels:

0	Abysmal: When you speak in social situations you tend to embarrass yourself.
1	Novice: You pick up on cues of when to talk and when to shut up.
2	Practiced: You have a well developed sense of formal and informal register and employee them effectively.
3	Competent: You say the right and acceptable things most of the time.
4	Expert: You read social situations well and employee slang and technical jargon with ease.
5	Master: There are few social situations that catch you off your guard.  You are highly skilled at knowing the right words who whatever situation you find yourself in.

Diplomats, Administratives, Professionals, Dilettantes, Ventrue, Service Industry Professionals, Courtesans, Business Executives.

Sample Specialties:
Business Meetings, High Society, Fancy Dinners, Low Brow Events, Parliamentary Procedure, Political Correctness, Adjusting Registers.
Players may choose a specialty at level 4 and gain a second specialty at level 5.
